Online PR News – 25-June-2018 – Boulder, Colorado – Revert, Inc., a leader in delivering on-site data sanitization and enterprise data center decommissioning services to customers worldwide, said today it has been recommended for registration to the new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, successfully completing the transition from the respective prior standards. The company has also been recommended for OHSAS 18001:2007 registration and says it will transition to the new ISO 45001:2018 in 2019.

ISO 9001:2015 builds on the prior standard by adopting the same overall structure as other ISO management system standards (known as the High-Level Structure), making it easier for anyone using multiple management systems. It also enhances and sharpens the focus on risk-based thinking. Any registrant, such as Revert, must demonstrate its ability to consistently provide services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aim to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system and by applying processes for continual improvement.

ISO 14001:2015 specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable Revert to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and information about significant environmental aspects. It incorporates the same High-Level Structure and risk-based approach as ISO 9001:2015.

OHSAS 18001:2007 is a framework for an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management system that helps Revert put in place the policies, procedures and controls needed to achieve the best possible working conditions and workplace health and safety, aligned to internationally recognized best practices. It’s successor, ISO 45001:2018, conforms to the same new structure and approach as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. It is just beginning to be rolled out globally, and Revert has already begun the transition to be prepared
for registration to the new standard in 2019.

“These certifications ensure that our comprehensive portfolio of hard disk drive data eradication, solid state disk data eradication, disk and tape media destruction, and enterprise data center decommissioning services will continue to meet the rigorous requirements of our Global 2000 customers worldwide,” said Glenn Jacobsen, Chief Operating Officer.

“We are particularly gratified to have completed the transition to two of these three key standards and to be well on our way in the transition to the third. The harmonization of these three standards will help strengthen and streamline our focus on quality, environmental stewardship and health and safety,” added Jacobsen.

In addition, Revert continues to support responsible data destruction by retaining its membership in the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) in 2018.
