Problem:

Revert was tasked with delivering on-site data sanitization and IT asset disposition services for a Dublin office of a leading provider of financial services to institutional investors. The project required processing of 950 assets, including large LCD and plasma televisions, desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and network switches. The challenge was to complete the service within three days, ensuring responsible recycling and meeting the client’s stringent data sanitization standards.

Challenges:

Upon arrival, the Revert team faced a chaotic environment. The team’s first task was to clear the area to make room for inventory and categorization, which caused a slight delay in the initial stages. However, the team quickly adapted to the situation and began processing the assets, showcasing their agility and quick thinking. Further, the client requested additional assets be added to the list for processing.

Results:

By the end of the project, Revert had not only met but surpassed customer expectations. The team processed 2,060 assets on-site, including the standards-compliant data sanitization of 119 hard drives, 81 solid-state disks, and 336 data tapes to meet the client’s data security requirements.

Ultimately, the Revert team collected 11 pallet boxes, totaling 3,145 kg of sanitized assets that were responsibly recycled in-country. This demonstrated Revert’s ability to adapt to the client’s evolving needs and deliver exceptional results under tight deadlines and their commitment to sustainability.
