Problem: A leading IT company in Germany, specializing in delivering applications, systems, and hardware solutions across the entire insurance value chain – from contract initiation to claim settlement – required a time-sensitive, standards-compliant data erasure project. The scope involved 12 EMC Isilon H500 nodes and 12 EMC Isilon A200 nodes. Revert was selected to perform the secure, standards-compliant data erasure of all nodes within five business days to meet the client’s internal data protection policies and project deadlines.

Challenges:

  • Large storage volumes across 24 Isilon nodes
  • Adherence to data protection and sanitization standards (e.g., ISO 27040, NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1)
  • Tight deadline of five days
  • Minimal disruption to concurrent IT operations

Results: All 24 Isilon nodes (12 H500 and 12 A200) were successfully and securely wiped within the five-day window. The erasure was completed with full compliance to industry standards, and all activities were documented and verified for audit and regulatory purposes. The client met their critical project milestone without compromising data security, regulatory compliance, or operational continuity, ensuring trust and reliability in their services for the insurance sector.
