Disk Drives
Revert’s On-site Disk Degaussing, Destruction, and Recycling Services render all data inaccessible from disk drives (including hard disk drives, solid state disks, and flash storage), thereby making it impossible to recover any meaningful data by keyboard or laboratory attack.
Revert’s destruction services employ state-of-the-art, purpose-built degaussing and destruction appliances or shredding trucks (if/as required) specifically designed to physically destroy disk drives on-site, preventing unauthorized access to data and assuring chain‐of‐custody integrity. Revert complies with rigorous industry regulations and governmental legislation regarding data privacy and protection of personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI).
We generate detailed reports and certificates of destruction by disk drive serial number, which provides audit-worthy and verifiable assurance that disk drives were destroyed in compliance with internationally-recognized and published data sanitization standards. Shredded remnants are then securely transported to approved and certified facilities, where they are recycled into raw materials or renewable energy in full compliance with state, local, and federal government regulations and legislation.
Our service supports all disk drive types, capacities, and form factors, including hard disk drives (HDDs), solid state disks (SSDs), and flash storage, including NVM Express (NVMe), USB removable media, memory cards, embedded flash memory, and RAM- and ROM-based storage devices.
We address any need, including:
Failed disk drives from storage systems, servers, desktop, laptops
Disk drives from storage systems, servers, desktops, laptops dispositioned for disposal
Degaussed media and/or shredded remnants are transported to an approved and certified facility for physical destruction and responsible recycling, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal legislation and industry regulations for electronic and solid waste disposal and recycling.
The services complement existing server and storage vendor disk drive retention contracts, e.g. disk retention option (DRO) and non-return disk (NRD) programs.
